We watched a video in small group last night that I haven't been able to get off my mind. The premise of it was to help us understand the awesomeness of God by looking at science, including our galaxy and the complexities of the human body. I wish I could go into more detail about the content, but it just one of those things that you have to see. If you would like to see bits and pieces of the DVD, go to youtube.com and search "Louie Giglio- How Great is our God."
This verse was mentioned in the video, and it has been on my mind all day. "The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40: 28-31
This verse promises that if we hope in the Lord, or wait for the Lord, during hard times that he will renew our strength. God doesn't promise that life will be easy, but he does promise that if we put our hope in him in the midst of those hard times, that he will renew our strength, even if it's only enough to get to the next day. In my recent grief there have been times when I have doubted and questioned God, and I wish I had realized this promise. That's an incredible promise straight from the creator of the universe. That's amazes me.

The end of that passage was always Erin's favorite. Every time I read it, I think of her. I think it will always be like that for me. I love you.
Angela, I was just thinking about that as well. Les, I watched that video when I interned in Tulsa, and it's great. Love me some Louie. I'll call you later this week.
